A Tribute to the Red Sea’s Coral Reefs
Inspired by my first dive into the Red Sea, where coral reefs reveal a hidden world of layered life, movement, and color, the Cora Collection translates this underwater landscape into a series of sculptural seating pieces. What felt like another world beneath the surface became the starting point for the collection, capturing both the beauty of these ecosystems and their fragility. Today, vibrant coral formations can slowly turn into bleached, silent structures, a quiet reminder of what is at risk.
Developed in collaboration with Iwan Maktabi, the project reimagines handwoven carpet as a sculptural, tactile material, shaping it into forms that echo coral colonies and their natural rhythms.
